I built a document automation system for video production companies — here's why

After four years running a post-production company, I noticed the same problem repeating itself across every single project.

Video producers who work with interviews are good at what they do. They know how to direct a subject, how to make someone feel comfortable on camera, how to find the story inside a conversation. But between the first client call and the first day on set, there's a mountain of documentation that someone has to write manually — briefs, timelines, personalized prep guides for each interviewee, shoot day checklists with interview questions, B-roll plans. Every time. From scratch.

The result is always the same: multiple follow-up calls to fill in gaps that should have been captured the first time, editors waiting on briefs that aren't ready, interviewees showing up unprepared because no one had time to write their prep guide properly.

The information exists. It comes out in the kickoff call. The problem is that someone still has to turn that conversation into ten different documents.

That's what Briefdeo does. An AI bot joins the kickoff call, transcribes it, and generates the full production package automatically — from the commercial proposal to the interviewer prep guides to the edit roadmap built from the actual transcripts. One conversation. Every document your team needs to move forward.

It's early and I'm still building, but if you run a video production company that works with interviews and this sounds familiar, I'd love to hear how you're currently handling it.
