I built a feature voting board for my own apps. A third of the users turned out to be communities.

I run a few small web apps. I wanted somewhere the people using them could ask for things and vote on what mattered, so I could stop guessing what to build next.

Every tool that did this well cost more per month than any of those apps earned. So I built my own and made it cheap. That was May 2025.

It works like this. You paste your URL, you get a board, and people can post and vote without making an account.

The part I did not expect is who uses it. I built it for small SaaS teams. About a third of the boards are communities instead. A 3D printing community, a few Discord servers, groups that are not software companies at all.

I am still working out what that means. They want the same voting and the same roadmap, but they find tools in completely different places than SaaS teams do, and I have not cracked reaching them yet.

If you run a community and collect requests somehow, I would like to know where you keep them today.
