Hey IH π
Quick launch update: After 2 months of building in public, dropanda is officially live!
The Problem:
Standard store platforms take 10-15% per transaction. On top of that, creators in regions without native Stripe/PayPal support face massive friction just trying to receive payouts for their digital products.
The Solution:
dropanda allows creators (ebooks, templates, UI kits, courses) to run 24 to 72-hour flash drops.
Buyers pay USDT directly
Creator keeps 95% of every sale
Zero monthly fees, zero Stripe dependencies
Minimalistic countdown landing pages designed to drive urgency
Tech Stack:
Next.js 15, Neon PostgreSQL, Drizzle ORM, Better Auth, Upstash Redis, NOWPayments, Cloudflare R2, Vercel. Built solo using Antigravity AI + Claude.
We already have our first creator signups testing the flow. Would love brutal honest feedback on the landing page clarity and overall setup: https://dropanda.xyz/πΌ
Your real wedge is buried under the wrong headline. "Flash sale platform" makes it a feature Gumroad already has. The unmet thing is in your own problem statement: creators in regions without Stripe/PayPal can't get paid at all, people locked out of selling digital products entirely. Lead with that, not the countdown timer.
"Get paid anywhere Stripe doesn't reach" is a painkiller for a desperate person. "Run flash sales" is a vitamin competing with incumbents. Same product, but payout-access framing has less competition and far more urgency.
USDT is the mechanism that makes the real promise possible, that's the story. Who's your first creator, and where based? That probably confirms the wedge.
This is the clearest reframe I've read since launching. You're right β I've been leading with the feature (flash sales) when the actual wedge is access.
The real story: I built this because I'm that creator. Based in Bangladesh, no Stripe, no PayPal. DodoPayments for one product, NOWPayments crypto for Dropanda because nothing else worked for a marketplace model from here.
First real signup beyond me is from Bangladesh too. Second is someone who didn't have a crypto wallet and couldn't complete onboarding β which honestly confirms your point. The people who need this most are the ones least familiar with crypto as a mechanism.
"Get paid anywhere Stripe doesn't reach" β changing the headline today.
Thank you for this.
That second signup is the most important thing that's happened to your product, don't file it as a failure. It told you the exact wall between you and every creator who needs this: they want the payout access, but "get a crypto wallet first" is a cliff they fall off. USDT is both your enabler and your biggest friction, and you can't remove it, so the game is making it invisible.
That reframes your roadmap around one metric: what % of signups without a wallet still finish onboarding. If it's low, no headline fixes it, the wall is mechanical, not messaging. The winning move is embedding wallet creation so seamlessly the creator never thinks "I'm setting up crypto," just "I'm setting up payouts." Hide the mechanism, sell the outcome, all the way into the signup flow.
"You are the customer" is your unfair advantage: you hit every wall yourself. Your onboarding friction IS your users'. Fix what tripped you and you've fixed it for them.
This "the enabler is also the friction, make it invisible" problem is exactly what I spend my time on, part of the team building Hivemind, an AI strategy copilot. If you want to work through the wallet-onboarding wedge: https://hivemind.myosin.xyz
