I built a free AI content quality tool – 11 days in, still at $0. Here's what I think went wrong

11 days ago I launched an AI Business Writing Prompt Pack ($1) and a free AI Content Analyzer tool. Zero sales so far.

I think I know what went wrong: I spent too much time building and almost zero time talking to people.

The free tool: https://56e10d45.ai-content-analyzer.pages.dev
The paid pack: https://shaguoer.gumroad.com/l/oxjut

Two honest questions for anyone who's been here:

  1. Does the free tool actually feel useful, or does it feel like a toy?
  2. Would you pay $1 for a curated prompt pack, or does that price signal "low quality"?

Brutal feedback welcome. I'd rather hear it now than in another 11 days.

  1. 1

Update: Just hit day 13. Still at $0, but made some progress today.
Published a new article on DEV.to about the 5 AI prompts that actually work for business writing. Also optimized both product pages with more specific value props.
Biggest lesson so far: free tools drive traffic, but converting to paid is the hard part. The $1 price point feels almost too low to be taken seriously, but $14.99 feels like a commitment people avoid.
Anyone here cracked the free-to-paid conversion puzzle for writing tools?
