I Built a Free AI Prompt Generator to Help You Get Better Results from ChatGPT (and Others)

Hey Indie Hackers đź‘‹

Over the past few months, I noticed something strange across dozens of AI communities, founder groups, and no-code forums: many people try using ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc., and walk away disappointed.

It’s not that the models aren’t powerful. It’s that most people don’t know how to talk to them.

That’s where prompt engineering comes in — the skill of crafting effective, structured, and targeted inputs to get the best possible outputs from AI systems. But here’s the problem:

Most people don’t want to become prompt engineers.

Templates are scattered, outdated, or not optimized for real tasks.

Businesses and indie makers don’t have time to experiment endlessly.

So I decided to build a small tool to solve that.

🎯 https://aipromptgenerater.blogspot.com — a free AI prompt generator that helps you instantly generate high-quality prompts for writing, marketing, coding, design, and more. No login, no ads, no upsells.

Why I Built This
I've been building indie tools and testing AI integrations for a while now. What I realized is: a bad prompt wastes your time and your API credits. A good prompt feels like having an expert assistant who just “gets” what you want.

But writing good prompts every time is a pain, especially if you're switching between tasks — blog copy, ad ideas, technical docs, UI suggestions, etc.

So I automated the logic behind effective prompt writing.

The goal:
âś… Help people craft smarter prompts without friction
âś… Make AI tools easier to use (and more fun)
âś… Save time, especially for makers and creators doing it all solo

What It Does
Lets you choose from categories (content, business, code, ecommerce, etc.)

Suggests smart prompt structures that actually work

Generates ready-to-copy prompts that you can paste into any AI model (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.)

Requires zero sign-up or payment

It’s hosted on a simple blogspot page for now. It’s lightweight, fast, and always open.

What’s Next?
Right now I’m:

Collecting feedback from real users

Considering packaging prompt templates into downloadable guides or Notion docs

Possibly turning this into a more dynamic, user-personalized tool (with optional login and saving)
My long-term plan is to keep it free forever — and maybe release a premium version if there's interest in tailored prompt packs for specific industries.

If you're building anything with AI or just experimenting with LLMs, I’d love to hear:

What types of prompts do you use most?
What frustrates you when trying to get good outputs?
Would you use a tool like this regularly? What would make it better?

Appreciate any feedback, ideas, or upvotes 🙌
Let’s make AI easier for everyone.
