I built a free browser-based tool hub to eliminate downloads and friction

Hey everyone 👋

I kept running into the same problem over and over again.

For simple tasks like formatting JSON, converting files, or generating sounds, I had to:

• jump between different websites

• deal with ads and slow loading

• or even download apps for things that should take seconds

It felt like too much friction for something so simple.

So I built Zonotools — a collection of fast, free tools that run entirely in the browser.

No installs. No signups. Just open and use.

⚡ What it does

• File converters

• Developer tools (JSON, formatting, etc.)

• Sound generator (white noise, focus, sleep)

• And more small utilities I kept needing daily

Everything is designed to be lightweight and instant.

🧠 Why I built this

Honestly, I just wanted something I would use myself every day.

Most tools online either:

• try to do too much

• or make simple tasks harder than they should be

I wanted the opposite:
→ simple tools
→ fast experience
→ zero friction
