What I built
ClientNest — a tool that creates a clean portal for each client. Progress tracking, tasks, notes, invoice generator, and payment link support. Runs entirely in the browser as a single HTML file.
Who it's for
Started thinking about freelancers, but realized the problem is much wider — tutors, consultants, designers, small agencies, even dentists running private practices. Anyone juggling client communication across WhatsApp, Drive, and email.
Why I built it
After shipping BillForge (offline invoice generator), the next pain point was obvious. Invoicing was solved, but everything before the invoice — project updates, tasks, client communication — was still a mess.
Tech stack
Vanilla HTML/CSS/JS. localStorage for data. Zero dependencies. Zero backend.
Business model
Free version: up to 3 portals
Pro version: $19 one-time, unlimited portals

Would love feedback — especially on whether the broader positioning (beyond just freelancers) makes sense.
I'd be careful with one thing.
The challenge may not be whether the broader positioning makes sense.
It may be whether expanding the positioning too early makes it harder to discover who feels the problem strongly enough to pay first.
Those can look like the same decision, but they tend to lead in very different directions.
