I Built a Free Financial Calculator Site — Here’s What’s Happened So Far
I launched a free financial calculator site 2 months ago — here’s what I’ve learned so far
A couple months ago, I shared FindMyMonthlyPayments.com here after launching it as a free resource for calculating things like mortgage payments, auto loans, personal loans, debt payoff, savings goals, and more.
Since then, I’ve been focused heavily on improving the site rather than just adding more features.
I’ve added more helpful content to the individual calculator pages, worked through SEO issues, submitted the site to Google Search Console, improved page titles and headings, and started publishing financial articles.
The encouraging part is that I’m now starting to see organic search visitors find the site through Google.
Traffic is still small, but seeing people discover something I built without me sending them the link has probably been the most motivating part so far.
My next big step is monetization. The calculators will stay free, but I’m considering adding relevant affiliate partnerships alongside the tools.
Right now I’m debating where to put most of my effort next:
SEO and content growth?
Affiliate monetization?
More calculators and tools?
