One pattern I kept noticing while building GrowthMap: most indie founders who aren't getting traction aren't failing because they built the wrong thing. They're failing because they've skipped the fundamentals, and they can't tell which ones.
They have a vague sense that "marketing isn't working," but they can't pinpoint whether it's because they don't know who their customer is, whether they're on the wrong channels, whether they've never actually written down a plan, or something else entirely.
I wanted a way to help people quickly audit where they actually stand, not a 50-question survey or a consulting call, just a fast and honest score.
What I built
growthmap.dev/score is a free 10-question quiz that scores your product's growth readiness across the areas I've seen matter most: customer clarity, competitor awareness, channel knowledge, content activity, owned audience, and whether you have an actual written growth plan.
Each question is scored 1-5, giving you a total out of 50. After you finish, you get a breakdown of your three weakest areas with specific actions you can take this week.
The four tiers:
I've been surprised by how many founders in the 16-30 range are convinced they're in the 31-40 range. The quiz tends to surface the assumptions you haven't questioned yet.
No email required. Takes about 2 minutes. Would love to hear what scores people are getting and whether the recommendations feel accurate to your situation.
