Hey Indie Hackers đź‘‹
A few weeks ago I found myself stuck. I run a small YouTube channel, and coming up with fresh video ideas was eating up way more time than editing or publishing. I’d go down the rabbit hole of “What should I make next?” → lose an hour scrolling → end up frustrated.
So I built YouTubeContentIdeas.com.
It’s a free hub with curated 10k+ YouTube content ideas.
Instead of keyword spreadsheets or paywalled “SEO dashboards,” this is just a huge open library of inspiration you can browse. Pick a niche (e.g., fitness, gaming, kids’ content, cooking), and you’ll get 6 starter ideas you can adapt and expand. Click to get more if not satisfied. Each page also has examples, tips, and structure suggestions.
Why I made it
• To solve my own “blank page problem”
• To see if creators prefer a free idea hub over analytics tools
• To test whether SEO scale + free value = organic growth
What’s next
Phase 1 is on the way:
• populate the site with niches + 10k+ ideas.
• the site is live with a few features based in like idea shuffle, copy idea to pasteboard (so that you can keep working on chatgpt).
Phase 2 is where it gets fun:
• AI-powered personalized idea generator
• Trend mashups (e.g., “TikTok trend + your niche”)
• Daily inspiration feed
Early traction
• Indexed a few niches pages already
• Got some initial traffic probably from Google Search although I did not publish the website anywhere except GSC.
• Planning a soft launch on Product Hunt (“coming soon” page first)
Ask for feedback 🙏
• Does this scratch a real itch for creators?
• Would you pay for daily idea recommendation and unlimited personalized brainstorms (vs the static free hub)?
• Any growth hacks you’d recommend for something like this?
