I kept running into the same problem: I needed to create a quick invoice, but most invoice tools wanted me to sign up before I could even get started.
That felt unnecessary for such a simple task.
So I built FreeInvoiceFast[freeinvoicefast.com], a browser-based invoice generator that works without accounts, subscriptions, or backend servers.
Key features:
No signup required
100% client-side
Instant PDF generation
Local invoice history
Client management
Invoice status tracking (Draft, Unpaid, Paid)
Multi-currency support
One of the more interesting challenges was designing the app so users could save invoices and client information without a database. Everything is stored locally in the browser, which keeps the experience fast and privacy-friendly.
A small milestone: Google Search Console recently started reporting search impressions for the site, meaning pages are beginning to appear in Google Search results.
I'm still early in the journey and would love feedback from freelancers, consultants, agencies, and fellow indie hackers.
A few questions:
Would you use an invoice tool without creating an account?
What feature would make it significantly more useful?
If you've built a productivity tool, what channels worked best for your first users?
Thanks for reading, and I'm happy to answer any technical questions.
