Hi Indie Hackers,
I recently built Morse Code Translator, a free browser-based tool for converting normal text into Morse code and Morse code back into readable text.
Website:
https://justmorsecodetranslator.com/
The idea came from noticing that many Morse code tools only show dots and dashes. That works for basic conversion, but it is not always enough for learning or practice. I wanted to make a tool that feels more useful for students, teachers, radio learners, hobbyists, and anyone curious about Morse code.
Current features include:
- Text to Morse code conversion
- Morse code to text decoding
- Morse sound playback
- Flash-style visual output
- Vibration support
- Copy options
- Morse audio download
- Simple web interface
- Browser extension version
The product is currently free. My focus right now is improving the tool, getting user feedback, and growing it through SEO, browser extension stores, and product directories.
I would appreciate feedback on:
- Is the landing page clear?
- Are the sound and flash features useful enough?
- What feature would make this more helpful for learning Morse code?
- Should I add practice modes or quizzes next?
Thanks for checking it out.
