I built a free movie discovery site solo, trying to figure out retention

Hey everyone. I am a solo developer and I built filmdilemma.com because I was scrolling streaming service menus for 20 minutes and then giving up.

It has a catalog of around 29k movies with proper filtering by genre, theme, mood, actor, director, year, and rating. There is a quick pick tool called the Dilemma Solver, a free AI chat called The Fixer that helps you find a movie from a rough description (and knows when to shut up, which is always), similar movie recommendations, curated lists, trending titles, critic reviews from partner sites on movie pages, and watchlists and ratings with IMDb import if you want to bring your history over.

To be clear, it does not stream anything. It helps you decide what to watch, then you go watch it wherever you normally do.

It is completely free, no ads, no premium tier, and I plan to keep it that way.

The part I am stuck on is retention. Discovery tools are easy to use once and forget. I would love feedback from anyone who has built something similar: what actually gets people to come back, and what would make a site like this part of your routine instead of a one time visit. Happy to answer questions about the build too.
