I built a free PDF toolkit - 30 tools, no signup, $73 MRR at 3 months

Every PDF tool I tried wanted an account before I could compress a file. iLovePDF puts a watermark unless you pay. Adobe Reader costs $20/month for basic tasks.

I built Papyrio instead. Compress, merge, split, convert Word/Excel/PPT, OCR scanned documents, sign, watermark, redact, translate. 30 tools. Files deleted the moment the download starts.

Stack: Go + Gotenberg on a t3.micro EC2, Next.js on Vercel. Clerk for auth, Stripe for Pro subscriptions.

Numbers at 3 months: $73 MRR, 492 clicks from Google, 1.29k impressions, position 74 average. Still early.

Pro is $7/month. Unlimited conversions, batch processing, 200MB files.
