I built a free plugin that makes WooCommerce stores visible to ChatGPT, Claude & Gemini

Most people don't realize this: when someone asks ChatGPT for a product recommendation, it can't browse your WooCommerce store. Your products are essentially invisible to AI.

Here's why:

• AI assistants need structured data, not HTML

• Without llms.txt, AI doesn't know what you sell

• Without an API, AI can't search your catalog

So I built Shop2LLM — a free WordPress plugin that bridges this gap:

✅ Auto-generates llms.txt (the AI version of robots.txt)

✅ Injects Product Schema for AI readability

✅ Exposes an MCP endpoint so ChatGPT can search products directly

✅ Tracks AI crawler visits

Setup takes 60 seconds: install → activate → paste URL into ChatGPT.

Business model: Free tier supports ChatGPT with basic tools. Pro ($9/mo) adds Claude, Gemini, Copilot + analytics.

Completely bootstrapped, solo founder, side project. Just launched on WordPress.org and submitted to WooCommerce Marketplace last week.

Would love your feedback: https://wordpress.org/plugins/shop2llm/

This is a strong problem, but I’d be careful with the first layer of messaging.

“Visible to ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini” is clear, but merchants may still treat it like a technical SEO add-on.

The sharper pain is probably closer to:

“Your products may be missing from the next buying journey.”

That makes it about lost discovery and lost revenue, not just AI-readable structure.

For WooCommerce owners, the useful question is not whether llms.txt or MCP is interesting. It is whether their products can be found when buyers ask AI what to buy.

Happy to put the tighter launch/message angle in writing if useful. I think Shop2LLM has a stronger merchant-facing story than the current technical frame.
