I built a free troubleshooting tool for seniors after watching too many people get stuck on basic PC problems

I used to work as a CNA, and I've spent a lot of time since then watching people — often older adults, often caregivers trying to help someone else — get completely stuck on computer problems that aren't actually that hard, they just don't know where to start and don't have anyone patient enough to walk them through it.

So I built Fixit-PC: pick your problem (slow computer, no Wi-Fi, frozen screen, forgotten password, 19 topics total), and it walks you through the fix one step at a time in plain language. If the steps don't fix it, it tells you what to try next or when it's time to call someone. No signup, no download, free.

It started as a Wix site, which fought me the whole way, so I rebuilt it as a standalone site (fixit-pc.netlify.app) that's just HTML/JS — way more control, way fewer headaches.

Posted it on Reddit early on and got a short burst of traffic that vanished within hours — helpful for a gut-check but not a real growth channel. Right now most of my steady traffic comes from answering real Quora questions that match specific problems and linking back to the relevant topic.

Would love feedback from anyone who's tried to get a niche tool in front of a non-technical audience — that's turned out to be the hardest part of this, harder than building the thing itself.
