I built a free video-to-prompt generator for AI video creators
I kept running into the same problem with AI video workflows: reference videos are useful, but turning them into a good prompt is slow.
You pause the clip, take screenshots, write notes about the subject, camera movement, lighting, pacing, mood, and style, then rewrite everything again for Veo, Runway, Kling, Sora, or another video model.
So I built Video Breakdown.
It’s a free video-to-prompt tool that lets you upload a short reference video and turns it into a structured prompt pack, including:

I think the bigger question is where this fits in the creator’s workflow. If the output still needs a lot of manual editing before it can be used in Veo/Runway/Kling, the time saving might be smaller than it looks.
Would be interesting to know how much editing users typically do to the generated prompt before actually generating the video.
The interesting part is whether the breakdown actually preserves the creative intent of the reference, not just the visible details. Curious how creators judge that gap today.
