I built a GitHub OAuth → Portfolio builder with 14+ templates to stop procrastinating mineBody

I kept delaying building my developer portfolio.
Not because I couldn’t code it —
 but because I kept overthinking:

  • Layout

  • Styling

  • Deployment

  • What projects to highlight

  • What to write in “About”

So I built a tool to remove that friction properly.
Here’s how it works:
You register and connect your GitHub via OAuth.
It pulls your public profile + repositories automatically.
Then you can:

  • Edit your About section

  • Add education

  • Add experience

  • Add skills

  • Select which repos to show

  • Mark featured projects

After that, you choose from 14+ portfolio templates (minimal, modern, sidebar, grid, etc.).
Each template supports customization like:

  • Theme styles (light/dark variations)

  • Accent colors

  • Layout variations

  • Section toggling

  • Project ordering

Once you're done, you can:

  • Download a full static HTML version

  • Download a complete React project (structured and ready to edit)

  • Or deploy the React version directly to your own Vercel account

It doesn’t host your site.
 You own the code.
 No lock-in.
The goal wasn’t to make another portfolio platform —
it was to make portfolio building feel like filling out a form instead of starting a design project from scratch.
Right now I’m not charging.
I’m just trying to validate whether this is actually useful beyond solving my own procrastination.
If you’re a developer —
what would stop you from using something like this?
If you’d like to try it, feel free to DM me and I’ll share it.
Would really appreciate honest feedback — especially the critical kind.
