I built a JSON toolkit with AI that fixes broken JSON automatically

Hey IH πŸ‘‹

Got tired of hunting down missing commas in JSON, so I built something to fix it for me.

WebToolz is a JSON studio that runs entirely in your browser. The main thing that makes it different: AI-powered auto-repair for broken JSON.

You know the pain β€” you copy JSON from somewhere and it has:

  • Missing quotes around keys
  • Trailing commas
  • Python-style True/False instead of true/false
  • Random syntax errors

Paste it in, hit "AI Fix", and it repairs everything automatically. One click.

Other stuff it does:

  • Format/beautify with customizable indentation
  • Minify for production
  • Real-time validation with clear error messages
  • Interactive tree view for exploring nested data
  • Keyboard shortcuts (⌘+Enter to format, etc.)

Privacy: Everything runs client-side. No uploads, no tracking, works offline. I made this obvious on the site because that was the whole reason I built it β€” I didn't want to paste API keys into random online tools.

Stack: Next.js on Vercel free tier. Domain cost me $12/year.

What JSON annoyances do you deal with? Planning to add more tools (Base64, JWT decoder, schema validation) based on what people actually need.

You did such a good job capturing the pain programmers deal with in this post, copying the json file from somewhere, having missing commas, frustration, etc, it was good, why not do it for your landing page too? I think the headline should target that same problem.

It could go as something like:

Copy JSON file from anywhere anytime without worrying now
Introducing webtoolz, it will fix the missing commas for you

You should lead with the problem rather than saying all in one json studio because that is unique to you, only you are solving this problem, so it's your unique selling factor.
