I built a Marketing Starter Kit that helps anyone launch a local marketing side hustle

Over the past few months, I’ve been building tools to help small businesses in my town compete with Uber Eats, DoorDash, and all the big platforms taking a big cut of their sales. What started as me helping a few local shops with websites and simple email campaigns turned into a full system that others could use too.

I called it Main Street Marketing Starter Kit and it's a bundle that lets anyone start their own mini marketing agency for local businesses.

Here’s what’s included:

Main Street Mailer – generates QR codes for in-store signups and sends AI-written email offers with a single click

Marketing Toolbox – a lightweight AI platform that helps plan offers, copy, and campaigns

Training videos and setup guide – so anyone can get started in a few hours, even with zero coding or marketing background

Everything runs on Replit, so it’s plug-and-play without hosting headaches.

I listed it on Gumroad as a $99 “starter business in a box” and have already had early feedback from people using it to run promos for their neighborhood pizza place or gym.

My goal is to make small-town marketing simple and give people a real way to help local shops bring customers back in-store.

If you’ve ever sold digital products or launched a micro-SaaS, I’d love to hear:

How did you drive your first 20–50 sales?

Any tips for building a small creator community around it?

Thanks for reading! Open to feedback, ideas, or even collaborations if you’re also building for small business owners.

This is such a smart initiative, Kevin 👏 Love how you’re empowering local businesses to own their marketing instead of relying on big delivery apps. The “starter kit” approach feels both accessible and scalable. I’ve seen how community-focused marketing like this can really build loyalty fast , would love to follow your progress and see how you grow it. 🚀

This is fantastic work Kevin. Building tools to help local businesses compete with the big platforms is truly valuable. I love how you've packaged everything into a starter kit that anyone can use to help their community thrive.
