I built a news agent to easily follow anything you care about

Hi everyone,

A01 is a news agent that helps you easily follow any topic. You just type in what you want to follow, your agent keeps fetching the latest news for you every hour.

It reads from about 2,000 sources: The Verge, TechCrunch, The New York Times, The Guardian, arXiv, IEEE, Nature, Frontiers, The Conversation, and many more. It covers everything from tech and research to politics and Hollywood.

I built it because I often had to jump between different sites and platforms to stay updated. When topics get really niche, there’s no single platform to rely on and I’d often get distracted by unrelated content along the way.

I’ve been using it myself to track stablecoin news, and it helps me follow the latest startups in that space. You can use it for any topic you like.

We’re currently in beta. If you’re interested to try it out, here’s the link: www.a01ai.com

this is clean. been juggling a mix of newsletters, twitter threads, and google alerts to track niche topics ... this feels way more focused.

out of curiosity.....any unexpected use cases so far? feels like this could quietly become a power tool for researchers and analysts.

thanks!! yes we do have a lot of researchers using it to track papers.

unexpected use cases... actually a lot. I see people using if for local news, sports, or ask how to improve themselves. and some prompt it for porn (although we don't have any content on it). all those were not expected from the very beginning.

it's interesting how your platform handles such varied use cases while keeping content boundaries clear. as a saas content creator, i know how important that balance is for building trust and lasting growth. looking forward to seeing where a01 goes next!

    Hey,

This is off topic. Is there a faq on IH. Need to read first. New to site.

This is a great idea to have everything in one place - how does it handle subscriptions? It would be great if you could link up sites where you have subscriptions

right now we provide the links to the original articles. if that article is paywalled and you have the subscription, you can click on the link and read it from there. but currently there's no way to manually provide what subscriptions you have but it's on our roadmap to add this feature!

That would be super cool, also to perhaps have the feature of not getting articles from places where you don't have a subscription.
