I built a pay-to-rank leaderboard for Chrome extensions (TopExtension)

Chrome extension store discovery is completely broken for indie hackers.

You build a useful micro-tool, publish it to the Web Store, and then hit a wall. Organic search prioritizes tools with tens of thousands of installs, and there is no simple self-serve ad platform inside the store.

Inspired by Jonathan Wilke’s outbid.lol experiment, I decided to adapt the pay-to-rank dynamic specifically for Chrome extensions.

You submit your Chrome Web Store link.

Minimum bid starts at $2.

The highest single payment holds rank #1.

If a competitor outbids you, you can claim the top spot back in real time.

No ads, no store SEO, and no revenue share taken from builders. Just a pure, real-time leaderboard for extension visibility.
