I built a personalized storybook app to make reading more exciting for kids

I recently launched HatchaBook, a project I've been building to make reading a little more exciting for kids.

The idea is simple: a child can become the hero of their own illustrated story. Parents choose a story idea, enter their child's name and reading level, and HatchaBook creates a personalized illustrated story with audio narration.

Building it has involved a lot more than I originally expected — AI-generated stories, illustrations, narration, subscriptions, storage, security, and trying to make the whole thing simple enough that a parent can just open it and start.

I finally launched the first public version and I'm at the stage where real feedback matters more than adding another feature.

I'd especially love feedback on the onboarding and story-creation experience.

The strongest part is tying qualification to actual development activity rather than treating the tax credit as a generic calculator. The GitHub and coding-tool workflow makes the product much more concrete.
