I run a few small free web tools (FileKiln, GradeKiln). Search brings people in, but nobody watches a 3-minute product tour, so I started making YouTube Shorts that show one tool doing one job in about 30 seconds.
A few things that turned out to matter:
Examples:
The channel is new, so I am not claiming view numbers. The point is that a founder can have a short, truthful clip of their product doing its main job without spending a week in an editor.
I have started offering this to other founders as Northline Demo Shorts (a 3-Short pilot is $297). If you have launched something recently and want to see what a script for your product would look like, reply here with the one job your customers use it for and I will write the first script free, no strings.
Happy to answer questions about the recording setup too.
The production workflow is clear, but the commercial signal is still missing. Have any Shorts driven measurable visits or conversions for your own tools yet?
