Hey everyone.
I wanted to share a project we have been working on that solves a massive headache for parents.
Getting kids to sit down and practice their spelling lists or reading pages is a daily struggle.
I realized that if we could gamify the exact physical worksheets they bring home from school, it would change the dynamic completely.
So we built WordyKid.
A parent simply snaps a photo of any assignment or book, and the platform instantly turns that exact text into an interactive game.
Building this was an absolute beast and took us over a year of heavy investment.
It is not a simple wrapper.
We had to build a custom architecture that can read terrible kid handwriting from blurry photos, parse complex languages, and feed all that into a dynamic game engine that tracks progress.
The technology is finally working like magic, but now we need to nail the messaging.
I want to make sure parents understand exactly what the product does the second they open the site.
I would be incredibly grateful if you could roast my landing page.
Does the core concept make sense to you right away?
You can check it out here:

Thank you so much for your time and feedback. 🙏
Hey Lenny, I checked out WordyKid, and the concept makes sense right away. Snap a photo; the kid plays a game. Any parent who has had the homework fight will get it immediately.
One thing I would look at: the pain is not really that kids struggle with spelling. It is the argument that happens every single night just trying to get them to sit down. If your headline hits that moment first, you will grab parents way faster.
Also, the villain in your story is not a competitor. It is the worksheet. That boring piece of paper a kid has zero interest in touching. WordyKid kills that problem, and that angle could carry your whole site.
The handwriting recognition, multilingual support, game engine... that stuff is hard and worth mentioning. Not the technical side, just something that works on any worksheet, any language, even messy handwriting. Parents will trust it more.
Cool build. Hope it takes off.
Hi Willy, thank you so much for taking the time to look through the site and write this out.
Your point about the worksheet being the villain is absolutely brilliant.
That daily argument at the kitchen table is exactly what we are trying to solve.
I am definitely going to tweak the headline to focus on that specific pain point.
It makes a lot of sense to highlight the multilingual support and messy handwriting features without getting too technical.
Regarding the blurry look, I will check the video compression settings right away to see if something is loading wrong on certain devices.
Right now we are focusing purely on building the product and talking to parents directly, so we are not looking to bring on any marketing or outreach help at this stage.
But I genuinely appreciate the detailed feedback and the great advice on the messaging arc.
