Hey everyone! I'm a solo developer, and today I want to share what I've been building for the past few months β Reelive.ai, a unified platform for AI video generation that aggregates all the major models in one place.
The AI video generation space has exploded this past year. Sora, Veo, Kling, Wan, Seedance, Hailuo β there's a new groundbreaking model every few weeks.
But as a content creator, I kept running into the same frustrating problems:
Too many platforms to juggle β Want to use Sora? Need an OpenAI account. Veo? Google Cloud. Kling? A Chinese phone number. Each platform has its own UI, pricing model, and learning curve.
High technical barrier β Many models are API-only, completely inaccessible to non-technical users
Opaque pricing β Every platform charges differently. It's nearly impossible to estimate costs upfront.
Inconsistent quality β Different models excel at different things, but there's no easy way to compare
So I decided to build a one-stop AI video generation platform.
Framework: Next.js 16 with App Router
Database: PostgreSQL + Drizzle ORM
Auth: Better Auth (Email + Google OAuth)
Payments: Stripe (subscriptions + credit packages)
UI: Radix UI + TailwindCSS v4
The architecture is straightforward: Unified Frontend β Standardized API Layer β Multi-Model Backend
All models use the same parameter structure (prompt, aspect ratio, duration, etc.). Users only need to think about what they want to create β not learn each platform's unique syntax.
π¬ Video Generation
Sora 2 (Standard / Pro)
Veo 3 / Veo 3 Fast
Kling 2.6 (Standard / Pro)
Wan 2.5 / 2.6
Seedance (ByteDance)
Hailuo 2.3
πΌοΈ Image Generation
Nano Banana Pro (High-quality AI images)
Z-Image
π³ Business Model Credit-based system with transparent pricing. Different models consume different credits. New users get 100 free credits to try it out.
But the feedback has been really positive. The most common response: "Finally, I don't have to switch between 5 different tabs anymore."
API reliability varies wildly β Some providers have great uptime, others... not so much. Built robust retry logic and error handling.
Pricing is hard β Balancing user-friendly pricing with covering API costs took several iterations.
Async is tricky β AI generation is inherently async. Task queuing and status polling added unexpected complexity.

What AI video tools are you currently using? What's your biggest pain point?
For a platform like this, what features matter most to you?
Any thoughts on the pricing model?
