I built a private AI therapist to decode the "unread letters" from your subconscious

Hi Indie Hackers! 👋

Have you ever woken up from a vivid, emotional dream, only to have it fade away by breakfast? Or Googled "what does it mean to lose teeth," only to find generic, unhelpful answers?

I’ve always believed that dreams are unread letters from our subconscious . They contain our hidden fears, desires, and solutions to problems we ignore during the day. But decoding them is hard, and professional therapy is expensive.

I wanted to bridge that gap. I wanted a safe, private space to not just record dreams, but to understand them.

So, I built DreamBunny .

It is an AI-powered dream interpreter and private journal. But it’s not just a "magic 8-ball" that gives you a random sentence. I designed it to act like a compassionate therapist.

How it works (and why it’s different):

1. It listens like a therapist: Instead of just dumping text into a box, you have a conversation. The AI asks follow-up questions to help you recall details and feelings you might have missed.

2. Multi-Perspective Analysis: We don't just stick to one theory. The engine analyzes your dream through multiple lenses— Freudian (repressed desires), Jungian (archetypes), and modern Psychology —giving you a comprehensive report.

3. Visualizing the Impossible: Sometimes words fail. I added an AI image generator to recreate your dreamscapes, helping you capture the "vibe" of the dream visually.

4. Long-term Patterns: This is my favorite part. DreamBunny tracks your dreams over time to find recurring symbols and mood shifts, showing you a growth report of your inner self.

Privacy First I know dreams are deeply personal. That’s why DreamBunny is built as a private journal first. Your data is yours.

I’m currently in the early stages and would love for this community to try it out. Whether you’re a lucid dreamer or someone who "never remembers anything," I’d love to hear your feedback on the interpretation quality.
