Quick positioning panic. Need your brain.
I built Synerdeck for this moment:
Client signs → then the scavenger hunt starts.
Email. WhatsApp. Drive folders. Notion checklists. “Did you get my file?”
Zero visibility into who’s stuck.
So the product is: branded magic-link portals + templates + docs/progress/reminders.
Clients don’t create an account. Agencies stop chasing.
Here’s the scary part:
When I call it “client onboarding software”, people nod…
but almost nobody seems to search for that.
They search for:
forms
CRMs
client portals
“HoneyBook alternative”
or they just… suffer in silence and never Google it
So I’m stuck between:
1. Keep calling it client onboarding (accurate, quiet)
2. Call it a client portal (broader, more competition)
3. Position against forms (“Typeform is not onboarding”)
4. Something else entirely
If you sell services — what do you call this mess in your head?
Not what a marketer would call it.
What you actually say when you’re annoyed:
“I need to fix our ___.”
Fill in the blank. Roast my naming. Steal my category. Whatever.
