Recently, I was messing around with Next.js, Remotion, and Tailwind CSS, trying to create something fun. What came out of that experiment was a React video editor template. I wasn’t expecting much—I threw together a basic version and open-sourced it on GitHub, thinking maybe a few people would find it useful.
Well, fast forward a bit, and things have gotten wild. What’s blowing my mind is how people are using it—I've seen folks building everything from AI-powered video editors to those slick ghost YouTube short video editors.
What started as a side project has now turned into something people are using to launch their own ideas. It’s surreal to think that this random project is helping others build their own video editing apps.
Never thought I’d end up making something this helpful, but here we are. 😅
Is this an .exe file or is it web based?
Amazing that you did this.... how many hours did it take to build?
It's a Next.js application that would need to be deployed to Vercel (Or any other platform). It's been an ongoing side project for about 6 weeks now :)
