I built a real-time Polymarket whale tracker. Here's where I'm at after launch.
Built WhaleTrack — a site that tracks what the biggest Polymarket traders are betting on in real time.
Here's an honest look at where things stand:
What it does:
Tracks whale wallets betting $10K+ on Polymarket
Shows YES/NO consensus across markets
Market Movers page — groups bets by market so you can see where the smart money is piling in
Twitter bot posting whale alerts 24/7
Telegram channel with alerts 10 min before Twitter goes public
Numbers so far:
466 Twitter followers
483 referral clicks
50 signups via my Polymarket affiliate link
Telegram paywall coming soon — leaving money on the table keeping it free
What I learned:
The referral attribution matters more than I expected. Link placement, link visibility, tweet structure — all of it affects whether clicks actually convert.

Lock Telegram behind a paywall
Keep growing Twitter with the automated whale alert bot
Add Binance signal confluence to crypto markets
Still early. But the product is real, the bot works, and people are clicking. Just need to monetize before I do.

The referral attribution point is probably the most useful takeaway here. It’s easy to focus on follower growth and overlook what actually happens after someone clicks. I’d be curious whether the users coming through the affiliate link behave differently from the people finding WhaleTrack directly.
Actually yes — users coming through WhaleTrack tend to deposit more and trade bigger markets. Makes sense since they're arriving with context (they've already seen a $100K+ whale bet). Direct organic users often just browse. The referral data backs this up — whaletrack.app drove $1,344 in Polymarket volume vs $1,181 from direct Polymarket traffic, despite being a fraction of the size.
