I built a recruitment website platform because Wix broke me

I spent 15 years in recruitment. When I decided to go independent, I needed a website — something professional that could take job applications and deliver CVs to my inbox.

I tried Wix. It was genuinely awful for anything recruitment-specific. The jobs functionality was bolted on, the application forms were clunky, and I couldn't get it to do the basic things a recruiter actually needs.

I was doing a coding course at the time and needed a final project. So I built it myself.

Pillar & Post is a SaaS platform for independent recruitment agencies in the UK. You tell it about your agency, it suggests a design, matches your brand colours, and writes your site copy. Then you post jobs and applications come straight to your inbox.

It took months to build properly — multi-tenant architecture on Django, Stripe for billing, Cloudflare for custom domains, the works. I launched in April 2026.

One paying customer so far. Actively doing outreach. Learning as I go.
