I built a Reddit marketing product (Leadmore AI) and it just crossed $1M ARR

Before anything else, I want to be transparent about how this ARR number is calculated.

The $1M ARR is based on a run rate calculation: revenue from a recent day multiplied by 365.
This can be slightly higher than a strict subscription based ARR, but Leadmore AI’s revenue is relatively stable and evenly distributed, so the gap is not very large. I wanted to clarify this upfront to avoid any misunderstanding.

1.What happened since my last Indie Hackers post?

About two months ago, I shared a post here on Indie Hackers about how Leadmore AI went from zero to around $30K ARR. I talked about our cold start strategy and the mistakes I made early on.

That post got much more engagement than I expected. A lot of people asked thoughtful questions and shared feedback. The discussions were genuinely helpful, and I learned a lot from this community.

Over the past two months, Leadmore AI’s revenue continued to grow. One important external factor was the rise of AEO Answer Engine Optimization. As more people started treating Reddit as a serious distribution and marketing channel, more users began using Leadmore AI to manage Reddit operations safely.

At the same time, we also made several deliberate changes that clearly contributed to the growth.

  1. Pricing changes that improved both conversion and retention

We previously used regional pricing. Users from developed markets, especially the US and Europe, were charged roughly twice as much as users from other regions.

In theory this made sense, but in practice it hurt retention more than expected.

We made two adjustments. First, we unified pricing globally, which effectively reduced prices in the US and Europe. Second, we lowered the first time purchase price to $9.9 to reduce the trial barrier.

After these changes, both conversion rate and renewal rate improved noticeably, and the number of US users increased significantly. Lower prices actually led to higher overall revenue.

  1. Doubling down on the core value of the product

Leadmore AI’s core purpose is very clear: help users post and comment on Reddit safely, with a much lower risk of account bans.

As the user base grew, we received many practical suggestions. For example, users wanted to publish comments immediately after a post goes live so the post can gain early traction. We shipped many small but important improvements like this that better reflect real Reddit workflows.

At the same time, Leadmore AI is firmly against mass AI posting, which leads to an important principle we’ve stuck to.

  1. Holding clear product boundaries

Many users asked for features that automatically generate and post AI content at scale. We intentionally chose not to build this.

Our belief is that high quality content always comes first. Tools should improve efficiency and effectiveness, not damage the ecosystem they depend on. Reddit works because of trust and authenticity, and mass AI spam breaks that.

Even today, Leadmore AI does not offer one click AI generated posting. This decision may have slowed growth in some cases, but it helped us build long term trust with users who care about sustainable Reddit marketing.

  1. Riding a real market shift

With the rapid rise of AEO and GEO, Reddit has become significantly more valuable as a traffic and signal source. Choosing a growing market matters a lot.

We also noticed that a large portion of Leadmore AI users were actively working on AEO. That insight led us to start building a new product called Vismore

Vismore is currently in private beta and will open publicly in about three to four weeks. After launch, I’ll share the full thinking process here on Indie Hackers, including why we built it, how we approach differentiation, and how we plan to compete in this space.

Final thoughts

The recent growth came from pricing corrections, a strong focus on the core problem, clear product principles, and being in the right market at the right time.

    Congrats on the milestone.

    This was a good read ,especially the parts about pricing changes and choosing not to over-automate Reddit. That trade-off feels very real, and it’s something a lot of people quietly get wrong.

    Also appreciated the clarity on how you’re thinking about ARR vs run rate. Not everyone explains that upfront.
