I built a reference site for automation platform decisions — here's what I learned

Every time I needed to connect two apps, I'd spend an hour piecing together the answer from five different places.

The vendor's docs told me what was possible but not what was practical. The comparison posts were usually written by someone with an affiliate link. The tutorials were often outdated. And none of them told me the thing I actually needed to know: for this specific integration, on this specific platform, at my actual usage volume — what's the right call?

So I built Integration Atlas to answer that question.

What it does:

It covers 85+ app integration pairs — HubSpot + Slack, Gmail + Salesforce, Shopify + Klaviyo, and dozens more — across five platforms: Zapier, Make, n8n, Power Automate, and Pipedream. For each combination you get:

  • Which platforms support it and what triggers/actions are available

  • Real pricing math at your actual usage volume (not just "starts at $X/month")

  • A platform recommendation based on the specific use case

  • Step-by-step setup guides with field mapping, troubleshooting, and a production checklist

  • Code snippets for platforms that support custom logic

What I built it with:

Next.js, Supabase, Vercel, and the Anthropic API for guide generation. The guide pipeline generates structured content for each integration pair across all five platforms — it's how I was able to produce 300+ guides without writing each one manually.

Where I'm at:

The site is live and indexed. Working on growing organic traffic through the guide pages and building out more integration pairs.

Happy to answer questions about the build, the content pipeline, or the automation platform landscape in general — it's a space I've spent a lot of time in.
