I built a remittance fee comparator with no coding background — here's why
I've spent 8 years in fintech and crypto operations, and I kept watching people — including myself — lose money on international transfers without realizing it.
Wise, Remitly, crypto exchanges — they all show you a rate, but comparing them side by side in real time? Impossible. You'd have to open 5 tabs, manually calculate fees, and still not know if you picked the best option.
So I built TransferIQ. A real-time fee comparator that covers both traditional remittance providers and crypto off-ramp routes — so you can actually see where your money goes before you send it.
The twist: I have zero coding background. Everything was built with AI (Claude, Codex, GPT) as my co-developer. Domain expertise did the thinking, AI did the building.
Web version is live at transferiq.org. Android app is hitting production this week.

I think your fintech background is the bigger advantage here than the AI-built angle. Knowing where people actually lose money is much harder than writing the code. Making fees transparent before someone clicks "send" solves a problem most users don't even realize they have.
