I'm a big fan of using FullStory to see what my users are doing, both for UX research and for customer service assistance. A few months ago while I was working on another product, I noticed that a large portion of my users were not showing up in FullStory. After looking into it, I realized the problem was caused by ad blockers blocking FullStory
I also learned that around 27% of users in the US are using ad blockers (about 47% globally). That's a lot of missing user data :(
To fix this, FullStory suggests running a relay on your own domain so that FullStory recordings are sent to your own domain rather than their ad-blocked domain. They even open-sourced a relay server that you can self-host, but I thought it was too technical to set up and now you have to worry about scaling, monitoring, etc since you're self-hosting your own server(s).
So I built UserUnlocker.com, a relay for FullStory that is simple to set up. You just create a CNAME record on one of your subdomains and we provide a reliable, scalable FullStory relay that you don't have to worry about managing.
I'm using it on 2 sites right now and it's great having all my users actually show up in FullStory.
Please give it a try if it sounds useful:
