Sleep is an $80 billion industry. Mattresses, pillows, toppers, cooling sheets, supplements, sleep masks, white noise machines. Entire Shopify stores built around one thing: helping people sleep better.
None of the generic Shopify apps know that.
A merchant selling a sleep bundle — pillow + topper + supplement — has to cobble together a quiz app, a bundle app, and a discount app, hope they don't conflict, and pay for all three separately.
I built Sleepmaxing to replace all of it.
What it does
A 5-step embedded sleep quiz asks customers about their sleep position, temperature, issues, and preferences. Based on answers, it recommends the right products from the merchant's catalog using Shopify product tags.
The bundle discount kicks in automatically at checkout — buy 2+ recommended products, get X% off. The merchant sets the percentage and minimum from the admin. No code needed.
One app. Quiz + recommendations + bundle pricing.

The bet
Vertical SaaS beats horizontal SaaS in a niche when the horizontal tool doesn't speak the language of the industry. A sleep merchant doesn't want a "quiz builder" — they want something that already knows what a sleep position question looks like.
That's the entire thesis.
What's next
Product Hunt launch June 30. Direct outreach to Shopify sleep stores — the ones running generic quiz apps and duct-taped bundle discounts right now.
If you run a sleep products store — what's the one thing your current Shopify setup doesn't handle well?
This is probably the strongest of your launches because the buyer is much clearer.
A sleep Shopify merchant does not wake up looking for a generic quiz app. They care about increasing AOV, recommending the right bundle, and making the store feel more guided without stitching together three apps.
That vertical angle is the real advantage.
The risk before the Product Hunt launch is framing this too much as “quiz + bundles” instead of a sleep-store revenue layer. If merchants see it as another app feature, it becomes easy to compare against generic tools. If they see it as a guided bundle engine for sleep products, the value is much sharper.
Happy to put the tighter version in writing if useful. I’d keep it focused on the PH angle, first Shopify sleep-store segment, outreach message, and how to avoid getting vague “cool app” feedback from merchants who never install.
