I built a Shopify app over Christmas and got my first customer within 2 days of launching

A while back I tried selling on Google Shopping. My shopify store got suspended from Google Merchant Center and I had no idea why. After digging through dozens of help articles I realised there was no simple tool that told you what was actually wrong. So I built one.

I spent two weeks over Christmas building ClearCheck Compliance Scanner, a Shopify app that audits your store against Google Merchant Center requirements and tells you exactly what to fix. 40+ automated checks covering products, policies, contact info, domain trust signals, page speed, and your GMC account directly.

The Shopify app review process took another two weeks to get approved, which was frustrating but expected. Two days after going live I had my first paying customer.

There are competitors in this space but most are overpriced and none of them have native integration with both Shopify and Google Merchant Center. That cross-account checking, catching mismatches between your live store and your actual GMC settings, is what makes ClearCheck Compliance Scanner different.

Still early days but the validation has been encouraging.
