I built a Shopify app to help store owners optimize their product pages

I wanted to introduce ChicShop to Indiehackers who happen to have a Shopify store.

It is a tool to help e-commerce store owners quickly optimize their product listings to improve product discoverability.

If you have an e-com store of any size, you are immediately faced with two issues -

1. How to make sure your product titles and descriptions use the same words and phrases that your target demo is likely to use? If your product isn't seen, it isn't going to be sold either.

2. How to categorize product efficiently so that buyers can be shown unique sets of related products? Good product suggestions are a hugely underutilized part of the e-commerce experience.

ChicShop elegantly solves both these problems.

You can integrate the ChicShop Shopify app from the ChicShop website - the app is in alpha so I haven't published it on the Shopify App Store yet - with your store to instantly see our recommendations for up to 100 products.

The app suggests adjectives, synonyms, and word associations for your product title.

It also has a built-in image classifier to help you visually categorize your products by product image.
