I built a Shopify SaaS app within 6 weeks, launched 3 days ago. Here's my honest report.

Day 3 of my first SaaS. Here's the truth:

✅ Installs: 2
✅ MRR: $0
✅ Reviews: 0

Not glamorous. But I shipped it.

The idea: The European Accessibility Act went
live June 28, 2025. It legally requires all
EU online stores to have accessible product
images — meaning every image needs descriptive
alt text.

I built AltGuard. It:
→ Scans your entire Shopify product catalog
→ Uses GPT-4o Vision to generate accurate alt text
→ Writes it back to Shopify in one click

Solo. No team. No funding.
While studying full-time in Pakistan.

What I've done to get installs so far:

  • LinkedIn launch post (1,000 impressions)
  • IndieHacker.

What I haven't figured out yet:

  • How to reach EU merchants directly
  • How to get the first review

Has anyone launched on Product Hunt with
0 existing users? What should I do in
the next 48 hours?

I'm very open and always happy to talk
to fellow founders, Shopify merchants,
or anyone curious about what I'm building.

What stood out to me is that you're solving a legal requirement rather than creating another SEO optimization tool.

When a product removes compliance work instead of adding marketing value, the buying decision becomes much easier. The challenge is making sure merchants immediately recognize AltGuard as a compliance solution first and an AI tool second.
