I’ve been working on a small project called PlayFaceToFace.
The idea is pretty simple. You open a link, turn on your camera, and start playing games with friends. No accounts, no downloads.
I built it because most multiplayer games today either:
match you with strangers, or
make you go through signups and setup before you can even start
I just wanted something closer to sitting around a table with friends.
Right now it supports a few classic games like Big Two, Chess, Checkers and more. You can invite people with a link and play while seeing each other on video.
One thing I’m trying to figure out is what actually makes this stick.
Is it the games themselves, or the “face to face” part?
If you’ve ever tried to play games with friends online, I’d love to know:
what annoyed you the most
what would make you actually use something like this regularly
Happy to get any feedback on it!
