I’m Jöí Fabü. Most people know me for music — raw vocals, no AI, no pitch correction, and a catalog that’s been charting daily across dozens of countries.
While building that, I kept running into the same problem with social media: everything got too loud. Images, videos, and algorithms buried simple text.
So I built FLY(ER).
It’s a social platform with one rule: text only. No images. No video. No clutter. Just short posts.
Anyone can share a Flight, even without an account. The goal is a quieter place that still feels premium.
It’s live. Still early. Would love real feedback from people who actually use it.
The text-only constraint is the interesting part. Removing images and video gives FLY(ER) a clear product identity, but the real test will be whether that simplicity creates a better social experience strongly enough for people to return.
Appreciate the feedback! You raised a solid point on retention, but for us, the text focus isn't just a UI constraint—it's an identity action. Much like 'tweeting' became a cultural action, posting a 'flight' on FLY(er) is about presence and status. It gives members an active way to elevate their voice and become 'Flyer' (slang for cool) simply by participating.
