I built a tool because I realized I had no idea what AI was saying about my SaaS

A few weeks ago, I started wondering about something that felt surprisingly difficult to answer:

When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Perplexity for a product like mine, does my company actually show up?

I knew how my website was performing in Google.

I could check traffic, rankings, backlinks, and keywords.

But I couldn't easily answer:

"What does AI say about my company?"

So I started building CitationGuard.

The idea is simple:

You enter your company and the prompts your potential customers might ask AI.

CitationGuard checks how your brand appears across AI answers and helps you understand:

• Are you being mentioned?
• Are you actually being recommended?
• Where do you appear compared with competitors?
• Which competitors are being recommended instead?
• Which websites are AI using as sources?
• Is your visibility improving or declining over time?

And honestly, building it has already changed how I think about SEO and discovery.

We're moving from:

"Can people find me on Google?"

to another question:

"Does AI know about me when my potential customers ask for recommendations?"

I'm making the basic version **free because I want founders to be able to test this on their own companies instead of just taking my word for it.
