There’s no worse feeling than finding an illicit copy of your premium asset listed for free download somewhere online. Digital creators and studios are all too familiar with the struggles of detecting & removing illegal and pirated copies of their assets from the web.
Great idea! Curious, have you selected a beachhead market yet?
Hey @erikarrabal haven't selected any specific market. As this was a side gig. But we will be looking to see where we have the opportunity to dominate and get some share. Please let me know if you have any ideas.
Here's what I suggest . . .
Step One: Brainstorm 3-5 markets you can enter using the following criteria:
Step Two: Zero in on the market experiencing the most pain right now:
This could be course creators, eBook authors, designers, photographers, or someone totally different. Does this make sense? Happy to answer any questions you may have.
Hey erikarrabal, this sounds like a great idea. This could be the focused strategy to grow fast. How would you advise I go about it? I can already pinpoint some focused market like course creators etc. I'm very interested in knowing to go forward. Many thanks.
First, you need to understand WHO is struggling most to solve the problem you want to address with your business idea. Be as absurdly specific as possible. What demographics, geographics, psychographics, or behaviors do they all share?
Then create a list of the watering holes where your dream customers hang out.
Armed with this information, you can perform secondary market research (e.g., social listening) to identify pain points and solution requests for potential beachhead markets. Then validate your findings with primary market research (e.g., user interviews/surveys).
This is gold @erikarrabal. I will start working on the best way to implement this as it looks very realistic.
