I built a tool that generates your Stripe account extra revenue
A few weeks back, I was looking for a tool that allowed me to create abandoned Stripe checkout recovery emails for my product SEOCopy. I've worked in e-commerce for years, so I knew how valuable these types of emails are in terms of generating extra revenue. On average, abandoned checkout emails convert at a whopping 15%!
I couldn't find a tool that would allow me to seamlessly do this. So, as an indie maker that loves building SaaS products, two thoughts ran through my mind. I could develop my own hardcoded solution in probably a few hours, or... I could turn this into a SaaS product. I went for the latter.
So without further ado, introducing my latest product... Recover.so. If you use Stripe Checkout, Recover allows you to earn extra money with no upfront cost. You simply connect your Stripe account, design your email, choose your send schedule and then, done! Recover will start sending out abandoned checkout recovery emails on your behalf in the background, earning you extra revenue.
The product is still pretty raw as I only launched the MVP a few days ago, but the initial results have been great. Have had plenty of feedback and implemented a load of changes/improvements already.

Hey, thank you! I appreciate that. I use TailwindCSS to develop with. It’s not a template, but it’s a lot easier and faster to use as a developer for prototyping/building UI’s quickly.

Well - suppose if we use WooCommerce for our sure with paypal & Stripe, customer first tries with stripe, assume stripe didn't work, he then used paypal.
Will this app send a card recovery email to him?
Just in case: on Chrome, the Pop up Blocker extension blocks the content of your website.

This looks super cool! Is there a way for me to check in Stripe right now to see how many abandoned checkouts I have (if any?). Just curious before integrating.
Hey, thank you! That’s actually given me an idea to add a new estimating tool to first check potentially how much extra revenue you you could have earned with Recover. Will get it live tomorrow. However, a quick way to do this would be to go to the “developer” section in Stripe, go to “events” and then lookout for events that say “Checkout session expired”. They might be well hidden/buried if you have tons of events. I don’t think there’s a way to natively filter by the event type.

Quick question,....which tool do you recommend to creating those .GIF recordings? I like how its zoomed in to the section you want to show.

Hey! Thank you, look forward to having you as a user! I just use the built in recorder on mac. Just press CMD+SHIFT+4 and you can select where to record on the screen.

Nice idea! Do we have to connect Recover So with our stripe account or with our webapp? Is there any documentation?
So you simply just connect your Stripe account, in-browser, and do all the designing etc within our online web app. I'm going to create a "How it works" section that will explain this process better.

What about if a user just filled billing email or clicked on Pricing/Upgrade button within the webapp but closed stripe checkout page without doing anything on it?
Thank you! So right now it's if the email is already in the checkout. If the user has not entered their email, then there's no way to send.
It can be better if we can connect to Recover So using Webhook api or zapier/apiway for the within webapp abandoned cart.
