I built a tool that helps me capture and organize Ideas

“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” This famous quote by Nelson Mandela reflects my gratitude for how education transformed my life.

But I am not talking about the traditional educational system. My life changed because I learned to be self-taught in many aspects. This characteristic led me to constantly question why the “studying dynamic” characterized by reading, taking notes in various notebooks, and highlighting across multiple books has remained unchanged for decades, perhaps even centuries. I believe that our current methods of acquiring and managing knowledge could be improved and that we are limiting our ability to fully utilize our cognitive capacities.

AI is transforming every aspect of society, and the educational sector is no exception. Having identified a problem with outdated learning methodologies, I was now only missing the solution. After extensive research, I recognized that human thinking is inherently non-linear and associative. We often make connections between different pieces of information without even realizing it. I was convinced that the best way to learn is by making these connections explicit and visible.

This led me to think of information and knowledge as a network graph, where everything we know is somehow interconnected.

To organize and capture my thoughts the way I believed they should be, I started to create an AI-powered tool to generate connections between concepts and ideas.

I created Nodeland (https://nodeland.io), and it has received a lot of great reviews from customers.

It is still a side-hustle, with $1k MRR (most of it coming from AppSumo LTDs), but I am confident that in a few months, my efforts on SEO will generate some organic traffic and hopefully increase the number of users.

Why am I confident? Because I literally use Nodeland every day for personal knowledge management. Every piece of information, whether a task to be done or a new concept I’ve learned, is transformed into a node and connected to the rest of the graph.

If it is a valuable tool for me, I am sure it will help others as well. 😊

I believe you have overcome a crucial hurdle which is being a user of the very product you are building. Couple with other reviews from your customers and i believe you will reach the zenith. Kudos

      Great suggestion, thanks.
It is very unlikely that I am the only person unsatisfied with traditional PKM (Personal Knowledge Management ) tools, and that's why I believe that I can help others

Eureka! Your idea-capturing tool is the ultimate mind-catcher. Snag those fleeting thoughts, wrangle your brilliance, and turn chaos into creativity. Never let a golden idea slip away again!

That's exactly the idea. I always liked studying a variety of subjects, but my knowledge retention was terrible. Then I identified myself as a visual thinker and things started to change

Keep pushing the envelope, Gab. I think this idea is wonderful, and you executed it perfectly on Nodeland.
