I built a tool that keeps Cloudflare metrics past their retention limits
I work as an infrastructure engineer and I am dealing with our Cloudflare account manager. At some point when negotiating new contract, the answer I got is "get the data for last year through our API". This and a company need of "How did it traffic look like half a year back?" demant in our company regarding AI crawling made me create this tool, which periodically gets data from CF API and stores them indefinitely.
The interesting part here is turning temporary observability data into a long-term asset.
