I built a tool that lets you search hours of video like a database

Hey Indie Hackers,

I’ve been working with long CCTV and security footage, and the worst part was always the same: scrubbing through hours of video just to find one moment.

So I built VideoSenseAI — a tool that analyzes long videos and turns them into searchable, structured data (people, objects, timestamps, events).

Instead of watching footage end-to-end, you can jump straight to:

  • when a person appeared
  • when a vehicle entered
  • or any specific moment in seconds

This started as a personal pain point, but I realized it could help:

  • security teams or drone teams
  • content creators with large archives
  • anyone dealing with long video libraries

I’m launching it today and would genuinely love feedback:

  • Does this solve a problem you’ve had?
  • Where does this break down?
  • What would make it actually useful for you?

Happy to answer anything,
