I built a tool that tells you your business idea is probably bad. Here is what I learned.

Like most people here I have had plenty of ideas that felt brilliant at the time. The problem was every time I described them to friends or ran them through an AI tool I got encouragement. Useful for motivation. Useless for validation.

So I built FoundersChecker. The premise is simple: describe your business idea and get an honest structured analysis. Not the helpful answer. The accurate one. Hard verdict, real competitors named, specific reasons it will probably fail.

A few things I learned building it:

The hardest part was making the AI actually honest. Every model defaults to encouragement by design. Getting consistent brutal feedback required more prompt iteration than building the actual product.

Pricing a one-time $10 report felt too cheap and too expensive at the same time. Still not sure if that is right. Curious what this community thinks.

Location-aware analysis was a small addition that made a big difference. Someone in Australia does not need US market data.

The free tier converts some users to paid but most people just want the free verdict and leave. Still figuring out what makes someone decide the full report is worth $10.

I tested it on my own ideas before launching. It killed two of them. It was right both times.

Free to try, no signup needed: https://founderschecker.com

Rip it apart. I would rather hear what is wrong with it here than find out from paying users later.
