I built a tool to auto-extract action items from meeting transcripts — here’s how it works

One of the biggest challenges I’ve had in online meetings is capturing all the action items without losing track of the conversation.
By the time the meeting ends, I’d often have half-finished notes, missing deadlines, or no clear idea who owns which task.

To fix this, I created Auto-Note — a simple web app that:

  • Takes your meeting transcription (MP4 fil)

  • Scans it for action items mentioned in the discussion

  • Generates a clear, structured to-do list with:

  • Task title

  • Priority (High / Medium / Low)

  • Short summary so you don’t forget the context

This way, you end up with an actionable list seconds after the meeting — no manual note-taking, no replaying the recording.

Right now, it’s live here: auto-note.up.railway.app
Would love to hear your thoughts on:

  • The task detection accuracy

  • Any features that would make it more useful for your workflow
