I Built a Tool to Find Reddit Leads for SaaS Founders (Because I Was Tired of Missing Opportunities)

Hey Indie Hackers 👋,

I’m John, a solo dev who loves building SaaS tools and, like many of you, I’m always looking for ways to market them effectively. A few months back, I realized something:

Reddit can be amazing for finding potential users and engaging with communities authentically… but it’s frustratingly hard to do consistently.

I’d spend hours:

Searching for relevant posts.
Wondering if my comment was the right fit.
Missing opportunities because I wasn’t online at the right time.
I needed something better. So I built Subreddit Signals 🚀 – a tool to help SaaS founders (like me) discover Reddit posts worth engaging with, craft authentic comments, and connect with potential leads more efficiently.

link: www.subredditsignals.com

What Subreddit Signals Does:
Finds Relevant Posts & Subreddits – Based on your product, it identifies discussions where your insights could add value.
Scores Engagement Potential – Rates posts on fit, authenticity, and lead-gen potential.
Suggests Comments – Provides comment ideas that are helpful and natural.
Saves Time – No more scrolling endlessly or second-guessing if it’s the right post to engage with.
Why I Built This:
I was solving my own problem. I wanted a way to tap into Reddit without feeling like I was just shouting into the void. I wanted to contribute meaningfully and grow my SaaS at the same time.

Results So Far:
I’m finding 10-20 qualified leads a week just by engaging authentically.
I spend less time searching and more time connecting.
I feel more confident engaging because I know the fit is right.
Lessons Learned:
Be Authentic – Adding real value works way better than trying to sell.
Timing Matters – The earlier you engage in a conversation, the better.
Consistency Wins – Small, regular interactions build trust and awareness.
What’s Next:
I’m thinking about adding:

Weekly Lead Gen Tokens for instant subreddit searches.
A Comment Builder to help stay on-brand while keeping it real.
I’d love your feedback!

Have you tried marketing on Reddit?
Would a tool like this solve a problem you have?

Finding users is one side of it.
Getting them to actually use what you built is a completely different problem.
